The beach is pebble/shingle & rocks at high tide with sand exposed at low tide.  Lee Abbey Tea Room is open during peak season & toilets are available above the beach.  Lee Bay can be reached via foot along the South West Coast Path from Lynton or via a scenic drive through the famous Valley of the Rocks along a coastal road (a small toll of £2 through the Lee Abbey Estate). Dogs are welcome during the off peak Winter season (November through to Good Friday)

Woody Bay

Woody Bay is a stunning, secluded bay ½ mile from Lee Bay (Lee Abbey Beach). This remote cove features a stony/pebbly/shingle beach backed by steep, heavily wooded cliffs and ancient woodland. It's ideal for rockpooling & photography.  A Victorian-era tidal swimming pool (rock pool) carved into the rocks provides a unique spot for wild swimming when the tide is right.  Access involves a zig-zag footpath down to the beach (no direct parking at the shore)  There is a National Trust car park at the top and walk down but it is a bit of a trek back up.  Dogs are welcome at Woody Bay all year round.

Heddons Mouth

Managed by the National Trust, Heddons Mouth is a stunning, remote rocky cove 2 mile on from Woody Bay on the South West Coast Path.  It's where the River Heddon meets the sea, forming a dramatic pebble beach flanked by some of England's highest coastal cliffs and steep, wooded valleys, ancient woodlands & beautiful wildlife including otters & rare butterflies.  Historically, it was a haunt for smugglers due to its isolation. Today, it's a popular destination for walkers and nature lovers, reached via an easy, scenic path along the river from the Hunter's Inn pub.  There is a car park & a National Trust information centre/coffee shop.  Dogs are welcome all year round.

Combe Martin Beach

Combe Martin Beach is a charming, sheltered cove beach located in the village of Combe Martin, 12 miles from Sunny Lyn Holiday Park.  It's a picturesque spot known for its scenic beauty, with high cliffs, rolling green hills surrounding the bay, and a mix of pebbles/shingle at high tide transforming into lovely sandy beach at low tide.  The beach is popular for families thanks to its calm, sheltered waters (great for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding), excellent rock pools, exploring hidden caves and coves as the tide goes out and fishing.  Facilities include a large car park, toilets & being in the heart of the village there are plenty of cafe’s, shops, pubs & restaurants.  Kayak & paddle board hire is also available.  Dogs are allowed on the beach during the off peak winter months (October to April).

Watermouth Cove

This little harbour is stunning!  Located in between Combe Martin & Ilfracombe, the  beautiful cove features a narrow entrance to the sea, making it a protected haven for boats and yachts, many of which moor there creating a charming scene of bobbing vessels against wooded hillsides and dramatic cliffs. “Storm in a Tea Cup’ is a boat cafe at Watermouth Cove which is the ideal spot to grab some lunch.  Dogs are welcome all year round.
