Sunnyspells Leisure Ltd, trading as “Sunny Lyn Holiday Park” respects your privacy and we are committed to protecting it. This is our Privacy Policy to inform you of our practices and of the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. 

This Privacy Policy applies to any bookings we take via telephone or on our website www.sunnylyn.co.uk (the “site”). We ensure that any personal data received will be processed in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the policy set out below. Links provided within the Site are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

 

DATA COLLECTED

We collect personal information from you when you make a booking with us online or via the telephone.

We collect the following information from you in order to book your holiday:

  • Your name and address

  • Your contact telephone number

  • Your email address

  • Number of people your booking is for and the names of the people in your party

  • Age bracket of people in your party (infant, child or adult)

  • Details of your payment method including your credit/debit card number, expiry date and security code.  For online bookings, we do not keep any of the details of the debit/credit card used.  For telephone bookings we keep the merchant copy PDQ slip on file.

 

USE OF INFORMATION

We use the information we collect about you to deal with any enquiry you have and/or to confirm your holiday.

Your credit card details are taken through a secure process for processing by your card provider, our card processor and our bank.

We will not assume that you would like to receive promotional information from us, and to do so you must click on our website that you wish to “opt in” for marketing information.

We will not share your information with any other companies.  The information collected about you will not be used for any other purposes and will not be sold or otherwise disclosed to any other organisations, unless required by law, except for any successors who purchase the Park. If we transfer ownership or management of the Site to a third party we may also transfer your data to such third party, provided such third party agrees to observe this policy.

HOW LONG IS YOUR DATA STORED FOR?

To comply with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) requirements for our accounting, your information will be kept on file for at least 6 years from your last holiday with us but no longer than 8 years.  Any lodge/caravan owners will have their information kept on our files for at least 6 years from the sale of their lodge/caravan, but no longer than 8 years.


LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Parts of our Site contain links to third party websites for your convenience and information. If you use these links, you will leave the Site. When you access a third party site, please understand that we do not control the content and are not responsible for the privacy practices of that site. We suggest that you carefully review the privacy policies of each site you visit. This Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of those third party websites linked to our Site.

 

COLLECTION OF ANONYMOUS INFORMATION

We sometimes collect anonymous information from visits to our site to help us provide better customer service. For example, we keep track of the domains from which people visit and we also measure visitor activity on this Web Site, but we do so in ways that keeps the information anonymous. We use the information that we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different areas of our website, and to help us make our website more useful to visitors. This includes analysing these logs periodically to measure the traffic through our servers, the number of pages visited and the level of demand for pages and topics of interest.
